First E.L.F Cosmetic's Haul

Hey guys, so lately I have been getting into watching different YouTubers than just sticking to the two or three I religiously watch, and one in particular BeccaRose use's a lot of E.L.F products in her tutorials, so I thought I would have a look on their website. I couldn't believe how affordable the brand is, I only got a couple of things just to try out, to see whether I like E.L.F or not, so I thought I would do a mini haul/review.
The first thing I brought was the matte eye shadow in the shade #D29, this comes in a little pot, with a small brush applicator. This is a nice nude colour, great to use as a base or just for a quick tool if you're running out of time to apply full make-up. This is a matte eye shadow that has no shimmer but is still really pigmented, which was £.188
I also ordered the eyelid primer in the shade sheer, this is just a creme, clear formula used for priming the eyes before applying eye shadow, it locks in the shadow and works and making it last longer on the lids and making the colour much more pigmented. This retails for £1.50, and comes in a variety of shades.
I find it really difficult to find my favourite concealer which is the lasting perfection one by collection, it seems to sell out everywhere, so I thought I would try one from this range as a sort of back-up when I cant find my favourite. This is the Tone Correcting concealer in the shade Ivory, and this was £1.50.
Next was the Waterproof eyeliner pen in the shade Plum, which is a nice deep purple colour, I always think its nice to go for something other than black, and purple, for me, is still quite a safe colour without being to bold. This goes on very smoothly and last's for ages, even better that its waterproof, and cost £1.50.
Lastly, the product I am most looking forward to using, is the Make-up mist and set, which has Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A,C & E. This is in a handy sized bottle, great for your handbag and travelling, especially in hot countries where your make-up needs help to set. This just sprays on the face and keeps your make-up looking fresh the whole day, and this was £3.75.
I am really looking forward to properly trying out these products, and hopefully I have found another Make-up brand I will go back to, because I love their products.

Have any of you used E.L.F products? If so what did you think?

Lush Bathbomb

This is only a little post to show my love for Lush cosmetics, and in particular a bath bomb  I received for Christmas which was called 'Sex Bomb'. It is a beautiful dusky pinky colour, with hints of purple with a baby pink rose in the middle, absolutely gorgeous! The moment you drop it into your bath it begins to fizz and lets off a sweet smelling fragrance, whilst turning the bath water pink. It fizzes for quite a while, and makes your whole bath seem like a tub of bliss, with a floral sweet smell and a pretty pink colouring to the water. This bath bomb makes for the perfect relaxing pamper time to yourself!

What's your favourite Bath bomb to use?

Mini Beauty Haul

So recently I have been pretty stressed out with exams and coursework, after handing my last piece in yesterday, I decided to head into Boots to pick up a couple of things as a reward for completing everything. I thought I would do a mini haul just briefly going through the bits I brought, hopefully giving you guys some inspiration to treat yourself too.

The first thing I brought was the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, in the shade 52 vanilla. I absolutely love this foundation, it goes on so nicely, with a medium coverage and is really easy to blend. This is now retailing for £9.99 (which I'm pretty sure has gone up from what it was) but I know I will always re-purchase this as it is my every day foundation.

As Boots where doing a buy one get one half price on Bourjois I opted for the Felt-tip/ eyeliner called Liner Feutre Ultra black, 24 hour lasting. I haven't tried this yet, but I am a big fan of felt liners, and I am running out of my old one which was a Barry M liner, and thought I would try something different. As this was half price instead of being £6.99 it was £3.49, which in my opinion is a complete bargain, so I am looking forward to giving this a go.

The next thing I brought was a real bargain in the clearance section, and it was the No7 Lip crayon in the shade Singing. This is already a favourite of mine, as when I purchased it I didn't realise it was an actual crayon (crazy I know) and it is brilliant. It comes with a sharpener in the lid, which is really handy, and its really moisturizing and super rich in colour, a complete bargain for only £2.

Lastly, the item that I actually went to Boots for was the Loreal Paris Collection Privee lipstick in the shade Cheryl's nude. I have seen a lot of beauty bloggers rave about this and after the stressful week I had I thought I would take the plunge and buy it. It was quite expensive for a lipstick, costing £8.19, which I think seeing as Mac ones aren't much more, its a lot of money. However I am glad I purchased it as its a beautiful nude colour that goes great with any outfit day or night. I would 100% recommend treating yourself to this lipstick, it will now stay in my bag with me forever.

What beauty bits have you brought recently?

Chanel Soliel Tan De Chanel Review

One of my favourite Christmas presents I received this year was the Chanel Soliel Tan De Chanel universal bronzer, and I have fallen in love! I was first introduced to the product through watching various Velvetgh0st YouTube videos, demonstrating how the product works, so I thought I would pop it on my Christmas list.
I haven't had much experience with bronzer's and have only really recently been introduced to the idea of contouring your cheeks, although a little pricey this is a brilliant place to start. Normally this retails for £31, but as I work for a department store I got it for considerably less; definitely a perk of the job.
This is a lightly whipped mouse like cream, which is brilliant for lightly sweeping across the cheeks to contour, or building up to add a bronzed glow to the apples of your cheeks. The best applicant for this would be either a real techniques contour brush or a Mac blush brush. You literally dip the brush into the product, and it doesn't need much, and work into the desired area. The packaging is very high end and elegant, another plus to the amazing product! I would 100% recommend this to everyone, as a very good beauty investment.

Let me know if you have tried this product, and what your favourite bronzer is!

New Years Day Outfit

Hey guys, I know that this is a few days late... but better late than never, I thought I would do a mini outfit review of what I wore on New Years day, with some of the bargains I brought in the Boxing day sales. I am a girl that doesn't wear or even own a pair of jeans, so my day to day look is typically skirts and dresses, with leggings and tights,  a perfect example in the picture below. I am wearing (which you cant see unfortunately) on the bottom thick black tights from primark for £2.50 which keep me nice and warm. The skirt is a flimsy black skater skirt from Topshop's tall section, and flares above my knees, for a nice length, its a sort of elastic cotton material, making it super comfy. My mint green jumper is one of my best bargains from the sales and this is also from Topshop for just £7!!! this is a knitted comfy green colour, that is slightly over sized, and comes to around the waist, so its not a normal size jumper, and I love how long the sleeves are, creates length in the arms making them look slimmer. My necklace is again, Topshop, and this was £4.50, it is a mock gold plated collar necklace that goes brilliant with any outfit, and has a ridged fan effect giving it an extra edge.

What did you guys wear New Years day? And would this be something you would wear? Or did you just happen to pick up some bargains in the sale too?

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Review

I purchased this product a while ago (and mentioned it briefly in a previous post), but have only just started to use it... and boy do I LOVE it!!! This is one of the most amazing powder's I have ever used. This is a light textured powder, in various shades, the one I use is Light+, and retails I believe for around £20 (don't quote me on that ha ha), it sounds a lot of money, but I have used it a lot already and it doesn't look touched. I can tell this will last me quite a while. I use this for a gentle, light coverage over my foundation, to get rid of any dewiness or to powder any oily patches I may have on my skin at the time, I have particularly found this good on spots and blemishes, as it covers and leaves a flawless finish, I apply this with a real techniques powder brush, for a swift and quick cover. This is quickly becoming one of my day to day beauty must haves and I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Becoming a 'Youtuber'

As I'm sure many of you are aware, there are hundreds of people taking to YouTube to share their lives and fashion advice with us, giving us great fashion tips, make-up must haves, and life lessons and advice. I have watched, and at times re-watched, some of my favourite You-tubers (The one I love most has to be Velvetgh0st), each time wanting more and more to be able to do what they do. I am undeniably interested in make-up and fashion, and love seeing the latest must haves, for me to scurry to the shops and buy, and would love more than anything to become, in my eyes, a 'Beauty Guru'. This for me isn't something I will see as a career path or I am just doing to be 'Famous' but more for a relief from uni work, and a little extra fun, something I can get involved in, that's just for me. I have wondered, however, how you even get started, what camera to invest in, how to get 'noticed' what do people actually want to see, and of course the self doubting questions of 'will I be any good?' 'Will anyone actually like me?'
I am writing this as a call for help, for advice on how to get started, more than anything else, and to see whether any of you fellow bloggers, are wondering the same as me?

Memory jar of 2014

Recently, I have seen a lot of people on Instagram, upload pictures of decorated jars with the title 'Good moments of 2014' written on them, which seem to be quite a hit with a lot of people. The idea of this special jar, is to fill it throughout the year with little things that make you happy and good things you have achieved or just general moments that make you laugh. At the end of the year; on December 31st, you empty the jar, in preparation to make a new jar full of new things for the upcoming year. It gives you a chance to reminisce over the events through the year that have meant something to you, making you realise the year probably wasn't as bad as you thought. So I decided to do one myself, I brought a jar from a local 'bits n bobs' shop (£1.29), but I know you can pretty much get them anywhere, and decorated it with Cath Kidston floral wrapping paper (John Lewis £2), covering all sides, bottom and the lid in a cute print. I made a small label with 'Good moments in 2014' on which I stuck to the front. I hope that by the end of the year the jar will be pretty full, and I will have a lot to look back on, and even if I am sad from time to time, I can take a few out of the jar to cheer myself up.

Here are a two of my favorites I have found on Google, to give you a little decorating inspiration.

Happy Memory Making.
