You guys have to eat here!!!

This is going to be a slightly different post, away from the norm of beauty related writing, I'm going to write a little review on one of my favourite places to eat; Turtle Bay.

This restaurant is very special to me for a lot of reasons, relating to a relationship. But above the memories it holds, the restaurant itself is fantastic.
This is a Caribbean restaurant which offers the whole experience the minute you walk in the door. The authentic decor, give a great party ambience, one to share with friends, family or a special date. they have a shack that usually holds to the ever so popular 2-4-1 cocktails, which (from experience) are brilliant, they're so original and very alcoholic and refreshing.
The food however, is on another level. This being a Caribbean restaurant, offers Caribbean food all the way from curried goat, to bbq pulled pork buns, racks of ribs, and deep fried bait. Its just amazing!! The food is so full of flavour, and so incredibly spicy, (if you're like me and don't do well with hot food, definitely order a jug, or two, of ice cold water) and the portion size leaves little room for pudding... which are also exquisite.

Everything about this restaurant is just a big yes! And i hope that eventually they open more, and one nearer to me. If you get a chance to go.. do! Visit and let me know what you think!

Love In my Language Book Review

I recently discovered Alexandra Elle on Instagram, (all places to find her I will leave at the end) after liking a photo, of a quote, very apt to my life at the moment, I decided to check out the rest of her account. I was very pleased, to discover the quote had come from a book, her book, Love in my Language (available on Amazon) and without hesitation I brought it.

The book is a cute, and very unique take on Love, with poems and writings, exploring love from different angles from the author. From the moment you pick this book up, you are captivated, to its diverse range of rich language, and its exploration into feelings, which many of us can relate to. I love the layout of this book, each page adorned with a different tale, each as empowering as the other, whether its a three lined poem, or a two page story. You cant put the book down, You don't want to put the book down.

I also liked the simplicity of it all, the black cover, with simple white writing, the non- frilly language, and the amazing idea of having a notes section at the end to 'write your language' spurring you on to believe you too can write your own language for love.
I enjoyed this book, as it was a light read, I don't read as much as I would like to, and unfortunatley I am someone who is on social media all the time! But this book gave me the relaxing time out I so desperately needed from the real world, and transported me to a world of Love from Alexandra's point of view.
A thoroughly enjoyable read, one in which I think will inspire me for years to come.

Lush Bathbomb

This is only a little post to show my love for Lush cosmetics, and in particular a bath bomb  I received for Christmas which was called 'Sex Bomb'. It is a beautiful dusky pinky colour, with hints of purple with a baby pink rose in the middle, absolutely gorgeous! The moment you drop it into your bath it begins to fizz and lets off a sweet smelling fragrance, whilst turning the bath water pink. It fizzes for quite a while, and makes your whole bath seem like a tub of bliss, with a floral sweet smell and a pretty pink colouring to the water. This bath bomb makes for the perfect relaxing pamper time to yourself!

What's your favourite Bath bomb to use?

Chanel Soliel Tan De Chanel Review

One of my favourite Christmas presents I received this year was the Chanel Soliel Tan De Chanel universal bronzer, and I have fallen in love! I was first introduced to the product through watching various Velvetgh0st YouTube videos, demonstrating how the product works, so I thought I would pop it on my Christmas list.
I haven't had much experience with bronzer's and have only really recently been introduced to the idea of contouring your cheeks, although a little pricey this is a brilliant place to start. Normally this retails for £31, but as I work for a department store I got it for considerably less; definitely a perk of the job.
This is a lightly whipped mouse like cream, which is brilliant for lightly sweeping across the cheeks to contour, or building up to add a bronzed glow to the apples of your cheeks. The best applicant for this would be either a real techniques contour brush or a Mac blush brush. You literally dip the brush into the product, and it doesn't need much, and work into the desired area. The packaging is very high end and elegant, another plus to the amazing product! I would 100% recommend this to everyone, as a very good beauty investment.

Let me know if you have tried this product, and what your favourite bronzer is!
