Thing's to do by 2014

I cant actually believe its October, and I will be turning 21 this month. I have just started my third year at uni, and its that time to start planning dissertations, and at times I just cant believe how quickly the year has gone. Everywhere is now setting up for Halloween with pumpkin everything, or Christmas, with Santa themed clothes and tinsel popping up all over the shops. There is so much I wanted to do before the end of the year, and I don't think I have achieved half of what I set out too, so I thought, that maybe if I compiled a proper list, it might spur me on to get going, so when I look back on my 2013, I will smile and be proud of some of the things I have done for myself. My list doesn't really have anything crazy on, like a bungee jump in Australia, but to me, the things still mean just as much, but on a smaller scale of accomplishments. So here it goes, my To do list before 2014; (In no particular order)

  • Try a Macaroon
  • Volunteer
  • Read another Jane Austen book
  • See a shooting star
  • Spend a day watching old movies
  • Try Coffee
  • Go star gazing
  • Own a Macbook
  • Go a day without swearing
  • Do something in photography, i.e. take a course
  • See Jessie J in concert
  • Finish my Wreck This Journal
  • Get a tattoo
  • Go abroad
  • Attend every lecture for at least one week
  • Join a Gym, and do a class like Yoga
  • Be happy with my life

If I am honest, I don't know if I will achieve everything on my list, but I am hoping that I only miss completing this by a couple of things, and I am going to give it my best shot. I am ready to start 2014, with a new set of things I would love to achieve by then. I think it makes for a more exciting year by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, after all you're not young forever.

Have any of you done a list like this, or preparing one for next year? I would love to hear some of the crazy things you would love to achieve in the next few months.

50 things that make me laugh!

So, recently I've been a little bit down, about life in general, not being at uni with my friends, my hometown being boring, that kind of thing. So I compiled a list of things that usually make me laugh, to see what I can do to cheer myself up. I also thought it would be a good way for you to get to know me a bit better. So here it goes.

50 things that make me laugh. (In no particular order)

1) My amazing friends (goes without saying really)
2) Vine videos
3) People falling over (harsh, but we all laugh)

8) My cocker spaniel jake (he's a bit crazy)
9) Glozelle on YouTube (don't know her, YouTube her, funniest few minutes of your life)
10) Nights out at my university club called Kasbah
11) Drunken stories from the morning after
12) Dancing to Gangnam Style thinking you're really cool (yes I have done this a lot, there is even a video, but I won't show that)
13) The video called 'Sittin on the toilet' (don't ask, just watch)
14) People who do really bad Indian accent impressions (what are you even saying?)
15) Horge (a waiter I met in Las Vegas, it's a family inside joke)
16) Yo mama jokes (because the older we get, the lamer they are, but the nostalgia is great)
17) Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect (this never gets old, she is my favourite character)

30) The film Grown Ups
31) Snapchats with your best friends
32) The tv show Mrs Browns Boys
33) The tv show Miranda
34) The character big nose thug from the Disney film Tangled
35) Hula hoops (not the crisps, but the toys)
36) The word Foof
37) Disney films

39) Drinking Games I.e. I have never and Ring of fire
40) Sexual innuendos (so immature at times)
41) Cat fights
42) Rude tube
43) Knock knock jokes (only the good ones)
44) Top Gear
45) Comedy movies
46) Duck faces (like what is that?)
47) The word 'Awky' (inside joke)
48) How animals eat, YouTube video
49) How humans eat, YouTube video
50) The Goonies

I have actually found this to be a really useful technique, when I've been feeling a bit low, or bored or upset. It makes me realise there is more to laugh about than to cry about. And by looking at my list I've watched, or seen or done some of the things that make me laugh most. Happiness is made at home.
